
Turkish Industry and Trade minister Nihat Ergun will visit Iran. Ergun will participate in a meeting with participation of D-8 group of countries consisting of industry and trade ministers in Tehran on Feb. 28-March 2.
According to the information, Turkish minister will be accompanied by a delegation consisting of 50 officials.
The first meeting of D-8 member-Muslim countries with participation of industry ministers will be held in Tehran on Feb. 28-March 2
The purpose of the meeting is to develop industry and increase a role of member-countries in the world industry and economy.
Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria and Pakistan are members of D-8.
Top-level meeting with participation of state and governmental heads of above-mentioned countries was held under leadership of the Turkish President in Istanbul on June 15, 1997.
