AKP deputies investigated by Turkish prosecutors

The prosecutor’s office of Turkey’s highest appeals court is probing comments made by two deputies of the governing Justice and Development Party, or AKP.

The Supreme Court of Appeals in Ankara is investigating the statements, the news channel said without providing further details. The court’s prosecutors failed in a move to ban the AKP two years ago for threatening Turkey’s secular order.
