Armenian PM invites Berlusconi to Yerevan

On Feb. 22, Armenian Ambassador to Italy Rouben Karapetyan met with Italian Secretary to the Council of Ministers (Government Undersecretary) Gianni Letta.
Karapetyan spoke of Armenian Government's interest in the multifaceted development of Armenia-Italia relations.

"Presently there are all premises for Italy to become one of Armenia’s major partners," he said.

Armenian Ambassador informed Italian official of the scheduled visits and crucial events in 2010.

Karapetyan asked him to extend Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi his Armenian counterpart Tigran Sargsyan’s invitation to visit Armenia.

Italy lays emphasis on the enhancement of relations with Armenia as well, Letta added.
