Georgia's parliamentary Speaker to meet National Democratic Institute director

Parliament Chairman Davit Bakradze will meet Luis Navaro, Director of the NDI, with regard to formation of the ‘2nd Channel’ as a political channel today.
Bakradze made the corresponding statement at a bureau session on Feb. 22.

He welcomed the related memorandum signed the same day.

According to him, the channel will start broadcasting this week.

He said the main attention would be paid to parliament.

In particular, parliamentary plenary sittings and committee hearings will be aired live.
