Governor of Sistan-Baluchestan Province in southeast Iran said terrorist gang leader Abdolmalek Rigi was arrested during a daring operation by Iran’s Information Ministry.
Mohammad Azad described the operation as a big success for Iranian security forces and a good achievement for the Iranian nation.
He said the successful operation followed months of extensive hard work by Iran’s security and intelligence forces.
The official also said the arrest of Rigi, which meant disintegration of the terrorist group he was leading, will bring full security to the region leading to prosperity and progress of the province.
Rigi and his terrorist group, operating mostly in eastern parts of the country, are responsible for killing of tens of innocent and defenseless citizens.
Among numerous terrorist actions committed by Rigi terrorist group was a bomb attack to a meeting of top IRGC commanders and local tribal leaders in the city of Sarbaz.
