Sudan’s Ambassador to Tehran here Monday praised and appreciated Iran’s role played in solving Darfur crisis.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information and Media Head Office reported Monday night that Suleiman Abdottawab az-Zein in a meeting with IRI foreign minister conveyed President Omar al-Bashir’s appreciation message addressed to his Iranian counterpart in his meeting with Manouchehr Mottaki regarding Iran’s supports and role playing in solving the lingering Darfur crisis.
The Sudanese ambassador reiterated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran played a very constructive role in solving that very complicated crisis.”
Mottaki, too, during the meeting assured the Sudanese official of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s full support for the unity of Sudan and the establishment of security and sovereignty of the central government over the entire soil of that country.
