23 February 2010 [15:08] - TODAY.AZ
The Armenian Government is maintaining a dialogue with the businessmen working at trade fairs, particularly at jewelry markets, Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan said commenting on the causes of traders’ discontent.

He pointed out that the Government is seeking an agreement with the traders, but they are unwilling to pay taxes.

“Everyone must realize that taxes must be paid in Armenia,” Yeritsyan said.

The Minister stated that market traders do not want to provide full information on their annual incomes.

Jewelry market traders have been holding actions of protest in front of the Armenian Government for several days, demanding a meeting with the Prime Minister.
