The rally launched by youth wing of the opposition Armenian National Congress in Yerevan ended in 5 protesters' arrest.
During a short rally outside the Armenian Central Election Committee, demonstrators demanded resignation of CEC authorities.
ANC member Vladimir Karapetyan told media that five demonstrators were detained upon completion of the rally.
"They were taken to Central Department of Armenian Police. We have no information as to the date they will be released,” Karapetyan noted.
Armenian Ombudsman’s office employees visited the police department to clarify the situation.
Vice commander of Armenian police regiment said ANC activists were arrested for using insulting language towards police officers.
