A new gas prices will be set in Armenia o Feb. 26.
That day Armenian Public Services Regulatory Commission will convene a meeting and present the body’s stance on gas supply rate change.
On Jan. 27, HayRusgasart appealed to the commission offering to set gas rate at 136 AMD instead of 96 AMD for 1m3 starting April 1, 2010.
Gas prices is expected to be increased by 40 percent. So, consumers will buy 100m3 at $360, whereas Armenia purchases gas from Russia at $180 starting April 1.
For larger consumers the rate will rise by 19 percent for 1m3 reaching 99 AMD against previous 65 AMD.
