Iranian MP: Iran never smoothes way for arrogant moves

"Taking courageous, clear and illuminating positions in both the Middle East region and international arena," Iran would never clear the way for the arrogant moves of certain states, Boroujerdi said on Thursday.

He made the remarks commenting on the latest statements of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei about Iran's foreign policy.

The Ayatollah said on Wedensday that Iran would "never let certain countries play with the fate of world nations.”

"There are some certain Western states which would spare no effort to secure their own interest at the regional and international levels," Borouherdi said.

Pointing to the US military presence in the quake-stricken state of Haiti, the Iranian MP added that the move was a clear "abuse of the human rights" and a blatant example of US "military expedition" to the quake-hit country.
