Turkish private airlines to start Istanbul-Paris flights

A Turkish private airlines will start flying between Istanbul, Turkey and Paris, France at the end of March.
Turkey's Pegasus Airlines will launch regular flights between Istanbul and Paris on March 28.

The airline company hosted a reception at Paris' Ritz Hotel on Thursday on occasion of beginning of Istanbul-Paris flights.

The flights will be from Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen airport (on the Asian side of the city) and Paris' Orly airport.

Pegasus Airlines was established in 1990 as a joint venture between Aer Lingus, Silkar Yatirim and Net Holding.

Since its first commercial flight in May 1990, the airline has grown from a fleet of two aircraft to a fleet of 15, which includes the very latest new generation Boeing 737/800s.

With a fleet of 10 Boeing 737-800s, 2 Boeing 737-400s, and 3 Boeing 737-500s, the airline operates charter flights from Turkey to 99 destinations in 17 countries. Pegasus Airlines also provides wet lease to airlines in need of extra capacity.
