11 February 2010 [19:22] - TODAY.AZ
The Turkish president suggested on Thursday Turkish and Indian businessmen to make mutual investments.
Turkey's President Abdullah Gul said two countries had great potential, and he was sure businessmen would make use of that potential.

"We are excited about the figures we have heard in our talks and that Indian authorities have called on Turkish businessmen to invest in their country," Gul said during a Turkish-Indian Business Forum in the Indian commercial hub of Mumbai.

Gul defined India as a country of opportunities, and said India was affected less from the global crisis and grew 6 percent in 2009.

President Gul expressed belief India would contribute to world economy, and said Turkey also managed to stand on its feet during the global crisis.

Gul said they would take required measures to prevent businessmen from dealing with bureaucratic hurdles.

President Gul is actually paying a formal visit to India. Gul is expected to participate in a gala meal to be hosted by Turkish companies working in India.
