Armenian Foreign Ministry says MG Russian co-chair did not mention specific time limit to submit proposals

10 February 2010 [14:45] - TODAY.AZ
Following Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani presidents' January 25 meeting in the Russian city of Sochi, OSCE Minsk Group co-chair Yuri Merzlyakov declared that Yerevan and Baku may, in about two weeks’ time, present to the co-chairs their suggestions on those aspects of the revised Madrid Principles which they had not yet agreed upon.

Armenian Foreign Ministry acting press spokesperson Tigran Balayan says it was meaningless to speak about time limits at this time.

“When Armenia presents those suggestions, the public will certainly be informed about it,” said Balayan.

Until now, Merzlyakov had said the sides should present those suggestions not “in about two weeks’ time,” but exactly in a “two-week period.”
