Georgia's opposition leader holds meetings in Munich

Irakli Alasania, leader of the opposition Alliance for Georgia, held several more meetings on the last day of the 46th security conference in Munich.
According to the press service of the Alliance for Georgia, within the framework of the conference Alasania met with German Defense Minister Karl-Theodor Gutenberg, US Assistant Secretary of State Philip Gordon, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, influential US senators Joseph Lieberman and John McCain.

European security problem, as well as the situation in Georgia since the August war, was discussed at the meetings.

Alasania also talked with US President’s Adviser in Security Issues James Jones, the OSCE Secretary General, Foreign Ministers of Sweden, Estonia and Azerbaijan, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey.
