Georgian president opened a Candy Factory Barambo in Natakhtari today.
The President viewed the new enterprise and asked questions about the people employed there, as well as their salaries and working conditions.
The factory has 160 employees. It will manufacture 50 types of candy.
The President said the opening of such enterprises was significant for the country's economics, as well as the development of tourist infrastructure.
"From the economic point of view, everything is like a chain tied with each other. When an enterprise is opened, it needs a new road to provide normal transportation to the factory, it needs construction of hotels to attract tourists and to realize the product," President noted.
Before visiting the factory, President Saakashvili opened one of the rehabilitated streets in Mtskheta.
