Iranian, Afghan and Tajik presidents will celebrate Novruz Holiday together in Shiraz

Presidents of Tajikistan and Afghanistan will visit Iran to participate in activities dedicated to the Novruz Holiday, Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali Asgar Sherdust was quoted as saying by the Iranian Mehr news agency.

Presidents of the three Persian-speaking countries - Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Iran - have agreed to mark the Novruz celebrations every year in one of these countries, Sherdust said.

In 2008, the Novruz celebrations were held in Tajikistan with the participation the Iranian Foreign Minister, in 2009 - in Afghanistan, and this year it will be held in the Iranian city of Shiraz with participation of the three countries' presidents.

Iran will organize the Novruz celebrations with participation of senior officials from 20 countries due to the fact that in 2010, the Novruz holiday has been included in the list of UNESCO as an intangible world heritage.
