Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that several issues in Armenian Constitutional Court's reasoned verdict on the protocols (signed by Turkey and Armenia for normalization of relations) were against the basic philosophy of the process.
Turkey and Armenia signed protocols on October 10, 2009 to normalize relations between the two countries. The reasoned verdict, which was released by Armenian court, contained preconditions and restrictive provisions which impair the letter and spirit of the protocols.
Speaking to private NTV channel, Davutoglu said that the protocols aimed to contribute to settlement of permanent peace between the two countries, eliminate prejudices between the peoples, and to initiate regional permanent stability.
He expressed his expectation from Armenian government to claim the protocols.
