Turkish Education Minister Nimet Cubukcu has asked British Education Secretary Ed Balls not to cut hours of an elective course on Turkish language in schools in Britain.
Cubukcu conveyed her request during a meeting Tuesday with her British counterpart, who had reportedly pledged to deal with the issue in the shortest possible time.
Cubukcu also told Balls that Turkey was ready to extend any help and provide educational material if needed.
