Political scientist: Russia expects Turkey to recognize Abkhazia

Alexander Rahr, a European expert in energy issues and CIS countries, says that Russia is hopeful Turkey will be the first pro-Western country to recognize Abkhazia.
Rahr thinks Russia approached Turkey to expand cooperation in the sphere of energy.

Russian President Medvedev will meet Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan in Moscow to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues, also paying attention to significant energy transporting projects, including South Stream.
