Turkey appoints new ambassador to France

Tahsin Burcuoglu, secretary-general of Turkey's National Security Council, has been appointed as the new Turkish Ambassador to France.
Tahsin Burcuoglu, secretary-general of Turkey's National Security Council, has been appointed as the new Turkish Ambassador to France.

Burcuoglu's appointment was announced in the Official Gazette on Tuesday together with several other appointments.

Accordingly, Turkish Ambassador to United States Nabi Sensoy has returned to the ministry. Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Namik Tan, former ministry spokesman and Ambassador to Israel, is expected replace him.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Mehmet Kenan Tepedelen, an advisor to the ministry, has been appointed to Ghana and Turkish Ambassador in Uzbekistan, Mehmet Kemal Asya, has returned to Turkey.
