“The Armenian-Turkish process is over for Turkey and for the international community, and it is only the Armenian authorities that are seeking to ease the impact of what they have done,” David Shahnazaryan, a member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), told reporters.
He pointed out that the Armenian authorities have come to realize the result of their adventurist policy – that they have been deceived.
“The Armenian-Turkish and Nagorno-Karabakh problems have always been a single package. In the Nagorno-Karabakh process, the Armenian side is consistently retreating. The processes within the OSCE Minsk Group will speed up in the immediate future,” Shahnazaryan said.
As to when a framework agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh will be signed, Shahnazaryan said it is a procedural issue – whether a framework agreement will be signed or a verbal arrangement will be reached.
“As regards the timeframe, if the process develops this way, it is a matter of months. I thing can be said for sure: no change will be made in six of the principles published by the leaders of the co-chairing states. According to the information at my disposal, there are 14 principles,” Shahnazaryan said.
