Another Azerbaijani boxer has advances to the finals of IBA Youth World Boxing Championships 2024 in Budva, Montenegro, Azernews reports.
After Bilalhabashi Nazarov (48 kg), Ali Abdullayev also won the semi-final match.
On the way to the finals, the boxer, fighting in the weight category of 63.5 kilograms, defeated Djamel Djemmal (France) 4:1 (27:30, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28). He will fight Abdulaziz Jurakulov (Uzbekistan) in the match for the gold medal.
Other boxers of the national team, Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), Platon Kozlov (Russia), and Zidan Humbatov (51 kg) won bronze medals after losing to Justin Morena (Colombia).
Note that female boxer Aynur Mikayilova (57 kg) also finished the world championship in 3rd place.
IBA Youth World Boxing Championships 2024 will end on November 3.
