Lies and nonsense from Le Monde: People who live in glass houses should not throw stones

It's a pity that I don't speak French. In particular, because for this reason I do not know how the saying will sound in the language of Dumas and Beaumarchais: "Whose cow would moo, and yours would be silent." Considering that the Gallic rooster is the symbol of France, I quite admit that the analogue of this saying sounds something like this: "Whose rooster would crow, and yours would sit quietly on the fence."

Why am I doing this? To the fact that Le Monde has again decided to participate in a campaign to denigrate Azerbaijan. And again, there was an attempt to assess the events in our country in the context of the Climate Conference (COP29), which will be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. I should immediately note that it does not matter at all what formal "reason" French publications find to denigrate our country. They have been immersed in this process for a long time and act in this regard harmoniously and diligently.

We remember perfectly well that before the international Eurovision Song Contest was held in Baku, before the first European Games in history, and before the Baku stages of the Formula 1 races, incessant lies and nonsense were being told to our country from the pages of French publications. And initially it was clear that they would not miss the opportunity to do the same thing this time, before COP29.

By the way, I note that there are articles in the domestic media, the authors of which complain about certain inconveniences caused by how simultaneously and massively the process of beautification of the capital is carried out in front of the COP29. But it is one thing when such an angle is chosen by the Azerbaijani media, and it is quite another thing when our country is being denigrated non-stop in foreign media. Moreover, in the media of a country that has always supported Armenia's occupation policy towards Azerbaijan.

The same publication Le Monde recently provided a podium to former French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Bernard Kouchner, who also said something about COP29 in Baku. "At a time when France is plunged into political uncertainty, we should not lose sight of such major international events, since ecology is a priority for our governments. The choice of Azerbaijan as the host country of COP29 should remind us of this, while at the same time emphasizing that in this way the international community seems to be facing its own contradictions," he said at the time.

It was ridiculous to listen to this attempt by France to monopolize the right to host major international environmental events. In particular, because the entire economy of France has been and is based on the merciless exploitation of the colonies of this country. But, of course, they don't write about this in Le Monde. Not now, not before.

Meanwhile, a loud statement by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has already been made. Speaking about Macron's France, the head of our state clearly pointed out that they have no right to control the rights of people who live more than 10,000 kilometers from their territory and whom they humiliate, assimilate and kill.

"During the recent events in New Caledonia, seven people died. The responsibility for this lies with the French Government and its President. We will continue to support all the peoples suffering from colonialism, as far as we can, with all our resources and, of course, through the Baku Initiative Group," the President of Azerbaijan stressed during his speech at the second Shusha Global Media Forum.
The theme of which, let me remind you, was "Exposing false narratives: the fight against disinformation." At that time, the Azerbaijani president gave concrete examples of the notorious "double standards" that the collective West has. "Many countries prefer to just close their eyes or turn away and not interfere, not to create a headache for themselves, so as not to be demonized in Figaro or Le Monde, which have become a tool in the hands of the French president's regime. I say this with complete confidence. We are aware of the messages that come to these media from the Elysee Palace," the President of Azerbaijan said at the time.

And so, we see that time itself, and a new anti-Azerbaijani article in Le Monde confirmed the correctness of his statements. It is amazing that Macron's France, which itself has become the object of objective criticism this time for the ugly holding of the Summer Olympics, is saying something about Azerbaijan. It is especially funny to watch all this against the background of Emmanuel Macron's final transformation into an object of ridicule.

Yes, the case of Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov has only exacerbated Monsieur Emmanuel's problems. After all, it turned out that he was hiding the truth about meetings with Durov, as a result of which the co-founder of Telegram received French citizenship. And in general, French politicians openly declare that they are shocked by what happened. So the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, wrote on the social network X that France had shown the world its tyrannical nature and the image of censorship. Against this background, anti-Azerbaijani publications in Le Monde and other French media look particularly ridiculous.
