Turkish historians to conduct research in archives of Vatican

Turkish historians will conduct research in the archives of the Vatican, Trend reports March 7 with reference to Turkish media.

The official permission of Pope Francis was obtained for this.

The purpose of the research is to study materials relating to the history of the Ottoman Empire, as well as Turkic peoples in general, the history of Byzantium.

It is noted that Turkish scientists will start research in the Vatican soon.
