Uzbekistan has lifted restrictions on the export of products in eight product groups, Uzbek media reported.

Starting from Jan. 1, 2019, it will be allowed to export pork, meat and poultry by-products, pork fat and poultry fat, vegetable oil, sugar, bakery products, tungsten ore and concentrates, as well as silk waste without any restrictions.

On Oct. 30, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to further liberalize trade and promote competition in commodity markets.”

By his decree, from Jan. 1, 2019, the Uzbek president abolishes the licensing of wholesale activities and the special taxation of trade enterprises, as well as a special procedure of recording revenues from the sale of certain types of excisable goods (cars, vegetable oil, etc.).
