Turkey’s defense industry now managed by country’s presidential administration

Turkey’s defense industry has come under the control of the country’s presidential administration, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, the country’s media reported on December 28.

Turkey’s defense industry is a unified system, and it cannot operate under the control of different structures, he added.

Erdogan noted that if such military-industrial structures as Havelsan, Aselsan, TAI companies are managed from a single center, it will be possible to achieve great results in the Turkish defense sphere.
