Net assets of Uzbek Orient Finans bank grow

Net assets of Uzbekistan’s Orient Finans private joint-stock commercial bank (PJSCB) reached 3.5 trillion soums in the third quarter of 2017, which is 175.55 percent more than in the same period of 2016, Uzbek rating agency “Ahbor-Reyting” said in a message following assessment of the bank’s financial condition.

Based on the monitoring results for the reporting period, the agency affirmed the bank’s credit rating on the national scale at uzA with the stable forecast.

The growth of the bank’s indicators is confirmed, in particular, by the bank’s gross loan portfolio, which grew more than six times and amounted to 2.1 trillion soums, or 59.92 percent of the net assets of Orient Finans, the message said.

Liquid assets of the bank grew 53.51 percent and amounted to 1.106 trillion soums, or 31.71 percent of the bank’s assets.

The bank’s current assets at the reporting date amounted to 1.157 trillion soums (56.59 percent growth), and current liabilities amounted to 1.712 trillion soums (68.05 percent growth).

Customer deposits, the main source of the bank’s resource base, grew 90.96 percent and amounted to 1.571 trillion soums, or 51.21 percent of all liabilities of the bank. Some 93.74 percent of the customer deposits account for demand deposits.
