Penalties to be introduced in Uzbekistan in case of import delays

The penalties will be introduced towards importers who have not imported products into Uzbekistan in time, according to the www.norma.uz legal portal.

The new regulation is contained in the Uzbek Cabinet of Ministers’ decree #984 adopted Dec. 14, 2017. According to the decree, some of the government's decisions were amended.

The importers who have delayed the import of goods by more than 30 banking days will be fined, while small businesses and private businesses - 60 banking days.
