Turkmenistan names envoy to Bulgaria

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Batyr Niyazliev has also been appointed as the country’s envoy in Bulgaria.

The relevant document has been signed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The visit of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to Ashgabat in August 2015 gave a momentum to the bilateral relations.

During the high-level negotiations, energy and transportation spheres were defined as the strategic areas of the two countries’ cooperation.

The Ashgabat talks demonstrated the readiness of Turkmenistan and Bulgaria to cooperate in ensuring global energy security and diversification of energy resources.
