German experts may improve Uzbek investment legislation

German experts may be attracted to Uzbekistan to improve the national investment legislation so that it meets the requirements of investors in Germany, Uzbek Minister of Justice Ruslanbek Davletov said during a meeting with Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan Gunter Overfeld.

Also, representatives of German law firms offering consulting services to foreign investors in improving business relations and creating favorable conditions for German investors were invited to Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed establishing cooperation with German law firms on the retraining of Uzbek legal personnel in the field of investment and arbitration law in leading German law firms.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed various aspects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the legal sphere, the role of the Uzbek Ministry of Justice in the sphere of registration of non-governmental non-profit organizations, activity of representations of such German international organizations as the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), and Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
