Iran has denied a recent report on Kazakhstan’s decision to suspend a deal on supplying uranium to the Islamic Republic.

Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi has described the report as fake news, IRNA news agency reported.

The Brussels-based New Europe weekly has recently reported that the Iran policy of the new US administration has made it impossible for Kazakhstan to supply uranium to Iran.

Kazakhstan’s national company Kazatomprom and the nuclear energy organization of Iran have a contract for supply of 950 tons of uranium.

According to Kamalvandi, the members of the P5+1 group of countries had earlier endorsed the agreement but the UK after the election of Donald Trump as the US president expressed its disagreement with the uranium deal.
