Blast in Southern Turkey kills two [UPDATE]

Two people were killed and other 21 were injured as a result of the explosion in front of the governorship building in the Adana province, Turkey’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, the Haber 7 newspaper reported Nov. 24.

An employee of the governorship has been detained, according to the newspaper.

The Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist organization stands behind the terror attack, according to police assumptions.

10:58 (UTC+04:00) The blast was a terrorist attack carried out by a woman, the DHA news agency reported Nov. 24.

Rescue workers are working at the explosion site.

Reportedly, there is a threat of another explosion.

10:18 (UTC+04:00) Two people were killed and other 16 were injured as a result of the explosion, said the province’s Governor Mahmud Demirtas, the TRT Haber news channel reported Nov. 24.

It is reported that a car bomb exploded in front of the governorship building.

09:35 (UTC+04:00) A big explosion occurred in front of the building of governorship in the Adana province in the southern Turkey, the TRT Haber news channel reported Nov. 24.

There are injured people as a result of the explosion, according to the report.

Rescue workers and ambulances have been sent to the event scene.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the building of the governorship has also been damaged.
