Turkish president may meet with Trump

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about a possible meeting with US President-elect Donald Trump in December during a visit to the US, the Turkish Milliyet newspaper reported Nov. 20.

Earlier, during a telephone conversation, President Erdogan congratulated Trump on his victory in the presidential election.

According to the message, the politicians discussed the strengthening of relations between the two countries and cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

The presidential election was held in the US November 8. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump won the election. The newly elected president will take office on January 20.
