Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee detained three members of a radical group, who are suspected of planning terror attacks on the law enforcement officers.

The committee said on Oct. 11 that the group located in Almaty obtained components for making improvised explosive devices and detonators, religious and extremist materials with calls to commit terrorist acts.

“Since early 2016, Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee prevented the criminal activities of 29 radicalized individuals in Almaty,” the committee said.
In summer this year, two terrorist attacks were carried out in Kazakhstan – in the city of Aktobe and in the city of Almaty.
