The Russian Federation has consistently advocated the normalization of bilateral relations between Russia and the United States, said the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reported.
"We have consistently advocated for the speedy passage of the "black" phase in our bilateral relations. We want to normalize our relations," Peskov told reporters.
Commenting on the decision of the FBI regarding the attack on the mail server of the U.S. Democratic Party, (representatives of staff of Hillary Clinton said that the party server was hacked by hackers from Russia, who allegedly wanted to help Republican Donald Trump), Peskov responded that "it is actually a little bit American style"
"I want to draw attention to some facts: first comes accusation, and then they declare of a desire to investigate. There is absurdity. We used to first conduct an investigation, and then accuse someone of something. We believe it is more logical and correct," said Peskov.
"In addition, I would suggest paying attention to the essence of what has flowed to hackers. The leaked information is interesting enough and it indicates a specific action. Frankly speaking, to manipulate the public opinion in the election campaign. In this case we consider incorrect the attempts to camouflage manipulation through demonizing Russia. Russia has never intervened and will never intervene in the internal affairs of other countries, in particular the electoral affairs of other countries. Especially when it is the United States," he added.
The relations between Russia and the United States has deteriorated in 2014 after the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The United States and the European Union imposed several economic and financial sanctions to weaken the Russian economy. The relations two countries also became considerably strained due to acute disagreement over Russian military presence in the Syrian Civil War.
