PM: Turkey’s defense industry to further develop

Turkey’s defense industry will further develop, said the country’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, TRT Haber news channel reported June 21.

Yildirim said domestic production accounts for 60 percent of Turkey’s defense industry.

Strengthening of Turkey’s military industry scares enemies and pleases friends of our country, noted the prime minister.

He went on to add that Turkey must be a powerful country.

It was previously reported that Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) directed 70 million Turkish liras in 2015 for the development of national defense industry.
