Iran calls for expansion of ties with Norway

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has called for interaction with Norway on regional issues.

He also said that Iran and Norway can cooperate on fishery, oil and gas sectors, IRNA news agency added.

Zarif made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Norwegian counterpart Borge Brende in Oslo.

He further praised Norway's role in nuclear talks between Iran and the world major powers which led to a historic deal last year.

"Without Oslo, we could not have reached an agreement on exchange of enriched uranium," Iranian foreign minister added.

Zarif has arrived in Oslo on a two-day official visit to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.

Germany will be Zarif's next destination.
