Iran and Turkey can play an important role in resolving conflicts in the Middle East, Iranian ambassador to Ankara Alireza Bigdeli said, Turkish Haberturk newspaper reported Jan. 12.
There are forces trying to damage relations between Ankara and Tehran, but diplomats of the two countries are making every effort to prevent this, he said.
Turkey and Iran have close political and economic relations, but there are differences, in particular, on the settlement of the Syrian crisis.
