Armenian protesters held a rally against the criminal regime and its proposed constitutional reforms on September 21.
Participants in the rally in Yerevan accused the ruling party of usurping power. More than fifty people participated in a rally that began from the "Matenadaran" Museum-Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and ended in front of the central office of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
After reaching the party office, the demonstrators read out the full text of their statement. The protesters stated that they strongly believed the reforms were being carried out for "the establishment of the eternal power of the Republican Party."
"The people are forced into a one-party system. We declare that the Republican Party and its tip are responsible for the loss of sovereignty and, in the end, they will be brought to justice," the protesters exclaimed.
At the same time, the organizers called on Republicans who joined the Party for various reasons to disaffiliate as soon as possible.
Frequent protests against the ruling government have been shaking the country at its core over several months as citizens are driven to despair.
The standoff between the government and citizens is gaining momentum as the country is plagued by poverty, corruption, crisis, and many other problems. The Armenian authorities create new challenges instead of ensuring the welfare of its citizens.
