Two German scholarly delegations in Iran

14 September 2015 [15:36] - TODAY.AZ

Two scholarly delegations from Germany entered Iran Sept. 13 and have meet with officials of some universities, Deputy Minister of Science in International Affairs Hosein Salar Amoli said.

He said the delegation would stay for three days and discuss venues for cooperation with Iranian counterparts, Mehr news agency reported Sept. 14.

The meetings will suffice for negotiations and there will be no MoU between the sides, he noted.

He said the talks focus on how to back joint research projects by Iranian and German scholars.

He said 83 scholarly centers in Germany are ready to receive Iranian scientists to conduct join research projects.

Last week a scholarly delegation from Austria met with Iranian counterparts in Tehran. Among the topics discussed there was the improvement of oil extraction from some Iranian oil wells.

The visits are new to Iran with the country getting freed of international sanctions in the near future.
