CIS intellectuals to gather in Kyrgyzstan

The Fourth CIS Intellectuals Youth Forum will take place in Issyk-Kul , Kyrgyzstan, on September 2-6. Entitled “Youth for historical memory, patriotism and civil consciousness”, the forum will target the development of common humanitarian space of CIS.

The event will bring together up to 100 participants from CIS member states, including Azerbaijan, Georgia and Baltic states, which are actively involved in the implementation of international and inter-ethnic youth projects.

The participants are expected to discuss new principles and mechanisms for the system of civil and patriotic education, topica problems of preservation of the historical memory; modern national and inter-state practice in its preservation; liberal arts education as an important factor in the preservation of historical memory, the formation of civic consciousness and patriotism, as well as problems of national identity.

There forum is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan in partnership with Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS.
