Uzbekistan’s first deputy interior minister named

Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov has signed a decree to appoint Tursunpulat Tashpulatov the country’s first deputy interior minister and head of the ministry’s General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and the fight against terrorism, Uzbek Interior Ministry said.

Prior to this appointment, Tashpulatov served as the first deputy head of Tashkent city Main Department of Internal Affairs.

Tashpulatov replaced Davron Nazarmukhamedov on this post. The latter was appointed presidential advisor for organizational and personnel affairs in April 2015.
