Second party of chemical stockpiles taken out of Syria

A second batch of chemical weapons material has left the Syrian port of Lattakia, the UN and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons reports, dpa reported.

The OPCW says the materials were verified "before being loaded in Lattakia port onto Danish and Norwegian cargo vessels for onward transportation."

The vessels were accompanied by a naval escort provided by China, Denmark, Norway and Russia.
