Not suicide bomber but mentally ill says Turkish Interior Office

A person that has been neutralized in Ankara was not a suicide bomber, Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Guler said, TRT Turk reported on Nov.21.

According to the minister, the detained person is a Turkish citizen Togrul Bayir who suffers from mental illness.

The minister also said that Bayir called the Ankara police and warned of its intention to blow up the building of the Cabinet of Ministers.

It was earlier reported that a suicide bomber who attempted to blow up the building of the Cabinet of Ministers in Turkish capital Ankara has been neutralized.

According to the TV channel, the suicide bomber was neutralized by the police. It is also reported that he wore an explosives belt which was taken off him.
