Whole government resigns in Georgia

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's trustees in the Georgian regions will formally lay down their powers on Friday 15, Kakheti governor Zurab Tchiaberashvili said today.

"As far as I know, all governors have already appealed to the President with a request to be retired and this request will be met by November 15," Tchiaberashvili added.

The inauguration of new Georgian president Giorgi Margvelashvili will be held on November 17.

Afterwards, the new constitution will come into force and the governors will be appointed by Georgian Prime Minister.
