Erdogan blames Syrian regime for Hatay bombings

The Syrian regime is behind the terrorist attack in the Reyhanl? city of Hatay province, TRT Haber TV channel quotes Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as telling reporters on Monday.

According to Erdogan, the Syrian opposition bears no relation to the terrorist attack.

Erdogan said that the terrorist attack in Reyhanl? will be discussed during his visit to the U.S. and Turkey will have a number of requirements to the U.S. on this issue.

He said that following his visit to the U.S., he also intends to visit Reyhanl? and hold meetings with the families of the bombing victims.

Two vehicles packed with explosives blew up near the town hall and industrial area of Hatay.

As a result, 46 people died and 155 injured. According to the Turkish Interior Ministry, 11 community buildings, 293 residential houses, 450 offices belonging to private firms were seriously damaged, and 62 cars became unfit for use.

Previously, members of the DHKP-C group organised the terror attack at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara. The attack killed a security guard whilst another person was injured.
