Georgia can resume procurement of gas from Russia, said Tuesday the 'Imedi' TV channel reported with reference to the Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze.
According to him, Georgia should ensure multidirectional character of its gas supplies.
Georgian experts noted that the price of Russian gas exceeds the price of gas delivered from Azerbaijan, Imedi reports.
The difference is $150-200 which can lead to a growth of gas prices in Georgia.
The policy of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili was aimed at disposing of the dependence on Russian gas, as the frequent attacks on the gas pipeline led to interruptions in the population's gas supply.
