Iran will sign deals to develop three oilfields, namely Tossan, Esfandyar, and Soroush, which are located in the Persian Gulf, in the current [Iranian calendar] year, the Fars News Agency quoted National Iranian Offshore Oilfields Company managing director Mahmoud Zirakchianzadeh as saying.
The current Iranian year started on March 21.
The Tossan oilfield development plan will be signed with Khatam-ol-Osia construction headquarters. The project may cost around $800 million, he added.
Pasargad Bank will fund the Esfandyar oilfield development plan, he said, adding that the contractor of the Soroush oilfield development plan has not been specified yet.
In April 2012, Zirakchianzadeh said that Iran has launched projects to develop four oilfields, located in Persian Gulf, and raise the total output by 100,000 bpd in the current calendar year.
