On April 17-19 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze is to pay an official visit to Canada, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani told journalists on Monday.
During the visit, Panjikidze will meet with her Canadian counterpart, as well as representatives of both houses of parliament.
"Relations with Canada are important to us. This will be the first official visit of Maia Panjikidze to Canada. That country's support is very important for us in the context of our Atlantic integration. Bilateral economic relations and attraction of Canadian investments to Georgia will also be discussed during the meetings," Zalkaliani said.
