Bill initiates on Georgia’s unchanged policy

30 January 2013 [19:31] - TODAY.AZ
The Georgian parliamentary minority has initiated a bill on 'Georgia's unchanged policy', deputy speaker Giorgi Baramidze said today.

"On behalf of the National Movement and parliamentary minority, I would like to introduce a bill on 'Georgia's unchanged policy'," he said. "This concerns the country's unchanged policy in strategic issues which contains three components. The first is to ensure the safety of our course in connection with joining NATO and the EU for the Georgian government not to turn away from this progress."

The second component is aimed at a de-occupation policy and that of non-recognition of the occupied territories, Baramidze said.

The third component is that Georgia will not join the CIS, the Eurasian Union and other post-Soviet associations where Russia is a major force, as well as unions, which threaten Georgia's sovereignty and freedom.
